Eunkyung's Story

Eunkyung Ahn, MA is a South Korean educator and Circle keeper who has been part of the movement to integrate restorative justice (RJ) practices in the South Korean educational system. She is dedicated to spreading the philosophy of Circle processes via spirituality, the body, art, and other expressive practices to transform communities into becoming more equitable and just. She loves listening to and sharing stories in the Circle with meditation, arts, poems, flowers, laughter, tears, silence, and healing justice.

은경은 한국에서 태어나고 자란 서클 진행자입니다. 

국제결혼이민자로 한국과 미국에서 서클 진행자로 활동하고 있습니다. 

한국에서 대안학교 교사로 근무하던 시절, 

담임을 맡았던 학급이 왕따 트라우마로 길을 잃었을 때 

회복적 정의에서 길을 찾았습니다. 

좋은교사운동 회복적 생활교육 센터 공동체에서 회복적 정의를 배우고 실천하며 

회복적 교육과 사회정의를 배우며 성장했습니다. 

회복적 정의의 뿌리를 더 깊이 알고자 떠난

이스턴 메노나이트 대학교에서 갈등전환학을 공부하며 

회복적 정의와 트라우마 이해 기반 교육을 삶으로 경험했습니다. 

2021년, 회복적 생활교육 센터 연구회를 전신으로 한 평화비추는 숲을 공동 창립해 

학교 안 팎에서 교사, 행정가, 학부모, 학생, 가족 및 지역 공동체의 

평화와 정의에 기반한 관계 회복을 지원하고 있습니다.     

회복적 교육(대장간, 2020), 회복적 정의 어떻게 배울 것인가(대장간, 2021)를 번역하고, 

동료들과 함께 서클로 나아가기 (대장간, 2018), 청소년과 함께 하는 회복적 정의(대장간 2024)를 번역했습니다.

몸과 예술을 통합한 서클을 연구, 개발하고 확장하는 데 관심이 많으며, 

모든 사람이 서클 진행자가 되는 세상을 꿈꿉니다.      

시, 꽃, 음악, 웃음, 눈물, 침묵, 표현예술이 있는 서클을 사랑하고

자유, 치유, 해방이 있는 서클을 꿈꿉니다.
